RCD 30th Anniversary Celebration – Signature Event
Annual Fundraising Gala – Spring Back to ’85

The RCD will be hosting our Annual Fundraising Gala on October 3rd, 2015 at the Executive Airport Plaza Hotel. The special theme this year is “Spring Back to ’85”.

There is double meaning to our signature event this year, because it is exhilarating to celebrate 30 years of services in supporting people with disabilities to realize their potential, achieve their goals and participate fully in the community. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate with us the difference we have made in this community!

The history of the RCD is not just about a disability movement; it is also about people. The story of how the RCD was founded is inspirational – the innovative model 30 years ago created partnerships between United Way of the Lower Mainland, the City of Richmond and a number of people with disabilities from the community. In fact one of the founders of RCD, Frances Clark, was honoured with the Prime Minister’s Volunteer Award for her life-long achievements, of which the establishment of the RCD is one of the most crucial endeavours.
