Background:

The Richmond Centre for Disability (RCD) is not-for-profit, disability-led and community-based, providing service to entire communities on disability issues and direct services to people with disabilities. Everyone we offer summer activities for children and youth with disabilities, and we recruit experienced staff members to deliver the summer program.


About the RCD Summer Fun Program:

The RCD Summer Fun Program is a specialized program specifically for children with disabilities from ages 10 to 16. In 2023 we will start a new format of programming, offering the activities at our facility inside the Lansdowne Centre. We basically will offer one 1.5-hour session on weekdays, either in the morning or afternoon, for Life Skills sessions and Arts and Crafts sessions.


Summer Program Staff:

Summer Fun Activity Leaders are responsible for ensuring overall quality of the experience provided to participants joining in the activities. We are looking for highly energetic and enthusiastic individuals with strong communication skills, listening skills, ability to ask questions and have independent decision-making, problem solving and analytical skills, with team work and cooperation.
