The Richmond Centre for Disability (RCD) is excited to announce an opportunity for volunteers to join our Gift Wrapping team at Lansdowne Centre from December 2 to 24. This annual event, held during the holiday season, is one of RCD’s significant fundraising initiatives and provides an essential service to the community. With your help, we can wrap gifts for shoppers and raise much-needed funds to support our ongoing programs for persons with disabilities.

Volunteers will play a central role in making this event a success. Gift wrapping shifts are available each day from December 2 through December 24, with various time slots that can suit different schedules. Whether you are an experienced gift-wrapper or new to the art, we welcome volunteers of all skill levels to participate and contribute their time and energy to this worthy cause.

WHY VOLUNTEER?

Volunteering with RCD is a fantastic way to make a difference in the community while enjoying the festive spirit of the holiday season. Not only will you be helping raise funds, but you will also have the chance to connect with other community members, develop new skills, and experience the satisfaction that comes with supporting an organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities. VOLUNTEER SHIFTS AND DUTIES

Gift wrapping shifts at Lansdowne Centre are designed to accommodate as many volunteers as possible, and we appreciate any time you can offer, whether for a single shift or multiple days throughout the event. Shifts range from a few hours to a full day, depending on your availability. Volunteer duties will include:

Greeting customers and helping them select wrapping options

Wrapping gifts in a neat, presentable manner

Handling donations and maintaining a friendly, welcoming atmosphere

Assisting with set-up and clean-up during your shift, ensuring that the wrapping area is organized and presentable at all times
